Be careful what you water your dreams with...
water them with worry and fear and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream...
water them with optimism and solutions and you will cultivate success...
always be on the lookout for ways to turn a problem into an opportunity for success...
always be on the lookout for ways to nurture your dream....

Nice to "run into you" again, after losing you for years. I totally forgot Blogger has this nifty Reading List.
The desk mat looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing the picture. So much easier to envision now!
It seems your friend is over the moon with her gorgeous desk mat, and I am not at all surprised! It does look fabulous in its new home.
Its lovely. Is there a way to protect it from getting soiled?
I just now noticed the last comment that came through -- since it came from an "Unknown" commenter, it didn't come through in my email feed but it's a very good question so I'll address it here:
Since this mat is made with the same materials as many of my quilts (cotton fabrics and thread), if it gets dirty my friend can take it home and wash and dry it in her home machines. I used a lightweight polyester batting so there should be minimal "crinkle" after drying since the only shrinkage will be from the fabric because I don't pre-wash. Even then she would be able to press that out with a moderately warm iron or using a pressing shield or cloth --- too hot an iron could melt the poly batting.
Additionally (and I think I will suggest this to her) she could also spray it with a fabric protectant like Scotchguard to protect it from liquid spills and then be able to just dust or vaccuum it periodically to clean it.
